Not silver, BEWARE

Bought this pendant and chain advertised as 925 silver. Took it to a jeweler for repair as the clasp broke after 1 time wear. The jeweler said it looked like stainless steel. They tested it with a acid test and it didn’t react. The company’s explanation? They "plate them for aesthetic reasons." I even offered to send it back for testing, they offered me a 10% coupon as a solution. Too bad I can’t post pictures how the cross looks after the test. It’s not silver. Disappointed with the product and how they handled this. Beware.
